1. Walk
Park a block away from your office.  Enjoy the simple pleasure of walking your kids to school instead of piling them into the car.  Leave the car at home and walk to the shops.  People who walk daily have a lesser incidence of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other killer diseases. Walking also burns calories, creates psychological well being, increases metabolism, strengthens muscles, increases flexibility, improves respiratory function and helps concentration and memory. Choose walking; choose health.

2. Take the stairs
A quick and simple way to add extra movement to your day is to take the stairs rather than hopping in the lift.  In a matter of a few short minutes you'll burn calories, increase muscle, get your heart pumping and get your "feel good" endorphins flowing.

3. Stretch
Whenever you find yourself sitting or standing still – stretch.  You can stretch at your desk, while you're watching tv, on the sidelines of your child's sporting event, even standing in the line-up at the supermarket.  Check out Simple Stretches for Anywhere for some stretching ideas.  Stretching improves your circulation, improves your mental alertness, decreases your risk of injury and helps you tune your mind in to your body. Basically, stretching makes your feel great!

4. Clean the house
There's no excuse for avoiding your household chores.  Cleaning the house can help you build muscle and burn calories.  Mopping the floors works your shoulder, biceps and core body and burns about 224 calories an hour.  You can burn over 200 calories an hour just tidying up.  Doing the dishes and washing up after dinner burns about 150 calories an hour.  So clean up: not only will YOU look good, your house will too!

5. Dance
Turn on your favourite music and just have a bit of fun!  Dance by yourself.  Dance with your partner.  Dance with your children.  Just shake it!  Close your eyes, enjoy the music, and feel happy!  Dancing is a great way to relax, get your heart rate up and burn extra calories.  Most songs are only about 3 minutes long, so that's as long as it has to take - although once you start, you might feel so good you don't want to stop!

And Remember...
Moving your body every day will help you be fit, healthy and happy.  A healthy diet is important too, and incorporating a daily bottle of diet water drink, into your diet will give you an extra nutritional boost.
